Clamp for securing fastener rail for protective cover to scaffolding pole

The clamp (28) comprises two identical, pivotally connected parts with curved gripper arms (30, 30') at one end. These arms are preferably symmetrical with respect to a central plane extending through the vertical hinge axis (40), and when the clamp is fixed in position the arms are swung together to at least partly enclose the scaffolding pole (10). In the released position the distance between the two arms is greater than the diameter of the scaffolding pole. At the opposite end to the arms are provided two rail insertion sections (34, 34'), each provided with a barb, stop surface and shoulder surface (36, 36'), designed to be fixed against a flange counter-surface (22, 22') in the fastener rail groove (20) when the clamp is fixed into position. In the released position the rail insertion sections have a cross-section greater than the width of the fastener rail groove opening. Screw bolts (38) are provided to fix the arms and rail insertion sections into position.
