The invention relates to a system for ornamental plants, comprising a container (3) for a plant substrate (7), one or more ornamental plants (10) having their roots developing in said plant substrate, and a supporting post (2) for the container (3). Said supporting post is composed of a trunk section (2) of a living woody plant having its roots developing in a plant container (1) and projecting above said plant container. The living woody plant is especially a deciduous tree and the ornamental plant container (3) is placed upon the trunk section (2) to which it is attached by holding devices (4, 5) so that the ornamental plant(s) (10) which develop(s) out of this trunk section represent(s) the outgrowth of said trunk section (2), whereby a tree crown (11) is formed. |
