PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow the user of an opposite image communication equipment to surely confirm wrong transmission by visual observation when the transmission is made in mistake by having the opposite image communication equipment to send acknowledgement information to a sender image communication equipment after receiving an image signal, not depending on a provision with a special function such as wrong transmission preventing function to the sender image communication equipment. SOLUTION: The image communication equipment is provided with a 1st storage section 11 that stores an opposite party communication number included in a control signal for image communication sent from an opposite party image communication equipment through a communication channel 1, a reception acknowledgement information storage section 12 that stores acknowledgement information, and a control section (acknowledgement information transmission control section) 9 that sends the acknowledgement information stored in the acknowledgement information storage section to the opposite party communication number stored in the 1st storage section 11, being activated by itself after receiving the image signals sent from the opposite party image communication equipment. |
