PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve operability at the time of automatically dividing a continuously read original picture with a special sheet as a division by providing a means for changing an attribute corresponding to an original picture within a stored managing information. SOLUTION: At the time of erroneously detecting a sheet or a document by reading processing, the attribute of each read pages is changed by a changing instruction by a user. Then, a control part 31 judges the display of a menu picture and displays a menu picture for selecting the change of an attribute, division, deleting and magnified display. At the time of detecting the changing instruction of a page attribute from the user, e.g. the part 31 changes the attribute of a page stored in a page managing table 23c according to the instruction of the user.
