PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To quickly monitor a photographed image in the case of synthesizing partial images to generate an entire photographed image of an object with high resolution. SOLUTION: A digital camera 1 changes a direction of an optical direction of an image pickup section 2 and an image processing section 23 synthesizes partial images in a way of adhering them to generate a photographed image of the entire object. A control section 20 receives an image of the entire object (preliminary photographed image) based on the positioning in the synthesis processing. The image is displayed on an LCD display section 11 as a still image via the image processing section 23 and an LCD drive control section 24. While the preliminary photographed image is displayed as a still image, the image processing section 23 applies synthesis processing of the partial images and the synthesized image is recorded on an HD card 10. The image of the entire object used for positioning the partial images is received and displayed immediately as a still image to quickly monitor the image. |
