PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simplify a structure, to reduce a size and to improve reliability in terms of a pressure damper for an ink jet printer and the ink jet printer. SOLUTION: There is disclosed a pressure damper 31 which is provided between an ink jet head 2 and an ink supplying source 3 and comprises a pressure absorbing section 32 for absorbing pressure variation of ink flowing into the ink jet head 2. A filter 33 for removing a foreign material entering into the ink is provided in a position away from flexible walls 37, 38 that form the pressure absorbing section 32 of the pressure damper 31 and absorb the pressure variation of the ink.
