摘要 FIELD: rocketry. SUBSTANCE: engine is secured on a bench, started, engine parameters are measured, and then engine serviceability is estimated. The engine is supported as a cantilever, after the engine is started transverse load is applied to its frame for a time not less than the time of flight as a component of the rocket. This load is equal to the aerodynamic load acting on the engine frame in trajectory as a component of the rocket, deflection of the engine frame is measured, and engine serviceability is estimated with due account made for deflection of its frame and time of flight as a component of the rocket. For realizing the method, the bench for testing solid-propellant rocket engines, comprising fasteners of the engine under test and a measurement system, the frame of the engine, supported as a cantilever in the area of the nozzle unit, carries a loading device in the form of a measuring load that is coupled to the engine and held on by an unloading installation, failing by force after the engine is started, the measuring system comprises a device for measuring engine frame deflection.
