The wall component (1), for the erection of an open container, is composed of wood planks (2) and side profiles (3), with eyelets (7) and rods (8) to push through. The wall unit (1) is linked to neighbouring walls (1) by the rod (8) pushed through their eyelets (7), so that the walls are connected together, can swing as a container door, and can be separated by removal of the rod (8).
