Cosmetic composition comprising a particular copolymer and use of said copolymer in cosmetics

The use of an optionally crosslinked copolymer (I) based on a major proportion of a monomeric 3-6 C mono-olefinically unsaturated carboxylic acid (or its anhydride) of this and a minor proportion of an ester of acrylic acid having a fatty chain is claimed in a cosmetic, dermatological, hygienic and/or pharmaceutical composition (A). (I) is used in (A) (i) to limit, reduce and/or suppress the transfer and/or the migration of (A), (ii) to improver the retention of (A), (iii) as an agent to provide properties as in (i) and/or (ii) or (iv) to form a film of (A), where the film has properties as in (i) and/or (ii). Also claimed are various (I)-containing compositions (A); and a method for preventing migration etc. of (A) using (I).
