PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To remove an attached material such as scorched material attached to a press surface of a press head by utilizing feed action of pellets to press position by an extruding member constituting an extruding mechanism feeding pellets comprising a kneaded raw material which is a raw material to press position in a press apparatus forming snack chips by using the press means. SOLUTION: In this removing apparatus, a pocket part 34 whose tip part is opened, capable of housing the pellets 33 is formed in an extruding member 31 installed so as to enable free advancing and retreating to a press head and scraping off members 44 and 45 for scraping off the attached material attached to the press surface is rotatably arranged on the both sides of the tip of the extruding member and the attached material attached to the press surface is scraped off by the scraping off members 44 and 45 in advancing operation of the extruding member 31 and the scraping off members 44 and 45 are rotated and retreated to the outside so as to prevent interference with the pellets 33 fed to the press position by the extruding member 32 itself in retreating operation of the extruding member 31.
