<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a nonwoven fabric with openings suitable for a disposable diaper or the like by which the openings having clear outlines and liquid-permeability can be readily formed by treating a ultrafine thermoplastic synthetic fiber under a specific condition. SOLUTION: This method for producing a nonwoven fabric with openings comprises (i) a step for carrying out papermaking of a slurry obtained by dispersing 0.5-20 wt.% thermoplastic synthetic fiber such as a melt-blown fiber, having 7-30 mm length and 0.1-0.8 de size to provide a wet sheet 17, (ii) a step for placing the wet sheet 17 on a supporter such as a first endless belt 13 and jetting a columnar water flow pressurized to 50-200 kgf/cm<2> to the placed sheet 17 from a first nozzle 19 to mutually and mechanically interlacing the thermoplastic synthetic fiber, and (iii) a step for forming many openings having 0.5-5 mm hole diameter in the obtained interlaced wet sheet 17 or a dried sheet obtained therefrom by using a shape-forming element 34 so as to have 3-60% rate of the opened hole area to provide the objective nonwoven fabric 31 with openings having 10-80 g/m<2> basis weight.</p> |
