PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To automatically arrange a mail box in an electronic mail device. SOLUTION: An electronic mail is transmitted from an electronic mail device 21, and simultaneously the electronic mail is stored in a transmission mail box constituted of an RAM 61. The other party which receives the transmitted electronic mail transmits a mail reception communication mail whose mail main sentence has a routine format for communicating the reception of the electronic mail to the electronic mail device 21. A CPU 51 recognizes the reception of the mail reception communication mail, and then deletes the already transmitted electronic mail being the object of communication from the transmission mail box. This is provided with a flag for indicating that the mail is a return mail corresponding to the previously received mail instead of the reception communication mail, and the CPU 51 can delete the already transmitted electronic mail being the object of return from the transmission mail box at the time of recognizing the reception of the return mail. |
