PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily match a sweeping second hand with counted seconds of a timer circuit. SOLUTION: A control circuit 21 detects time until a second hand 31c again reaches a '0' second position from a driving starting timing of a second hand 31c, namely, on the minute ('0' second) timing of a timer circuit 22, and calculates the error of the detected time to one minute. When an error exists, the control circuit 21 corrects the error by outputting a corrected hand driving pulse having a frequency F1 in place of a fundamental hand driving pulse having a frequency F0 to a synchronous motor 32.
