PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve cooling efficiency of a superconducting coil by arranging cooling plates of the superconducting coil, in such a way that each cooling plate is interposed between first and second pancake coils. SOLUTION: Three tape-like superconductors composed of a silver-coated bismuth-based oxide superconducting material are superimposed upon another, and a stainless steel tape and a polyimide tape are successively put on a laminated body. Then a double pancake coil is manufactured by winding the tape-like composite material around a bobbin. Finally, a superconducting coil 10 is manufactured by laminating twelve double pancake coils, thus manufactured upon another and jointing the coils to each other. At the time of manufacturing the coil 10, an FRP sheet is interposed between each coil for electrical insulation. Therefore, the coil 10 has a structure such that the twelve double pancake coils 1 are laminated upon another in the axial direction of the coil 10. Then the superconducting coil 10 is fixed by putting the coil 10 between an upper copper plate 3 and a lower copper plate 4. Moreover, a substantially discoidal copper cooling plate 2 is arranged between each double pancake coil 1. |
