PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a deflecting scanner capable of remarkably improving characteristics such as the miniaturization of a device, the reduction of the cost and the improvement of performance by sharply reducing the axial direction dimensions of a driving part for a rotary polygon mirror and reducing the number of parts for fixing the rotary polygon mirror. SOLUTION: The deflecting scanner has a driving part provided with a flange member 11 to be rotatably engaged with a fixing member, a rotary polygon mirror 3 engaged and supported with/by the flange member 11 by an engaging part 140, a rotor 9 united with the flange member 11, and a stator 8 opposed to the rotor 9. The engaging part 14 of the mirror 3 with the flange part 11 has a shape for increasing an adhesive area with adhesives to adhere and fix the mirror 3 to the member 11 with adhesives on the engaging part 14. |
