GAS METER SETTING METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate the setting operations by fixing a gas meter suspending unit with joints to be connected to the inlet and outlet of a gas meter and joints to be connected to entering- and outgoing-side piping to a building or a foundation and suspending a gas meter and the entering- and outgoing-side piping from the unit. SOLUTION: The suspending unit 1 has aπ-shaped member 20 formed of a transverse part 22 extended in the lateral direction and down pipes 21 and 31 drooped downward beneath the transverse part 22 to the left and right. Theπ-shaped member 20 is fixed to the wall 2 of a building by a fixing metal 41. Gas connecting passages 19a and 33a open to the right and left end parts of the transverse part 22 and the lower end face of a leg part are formed between the end parts and the down pipes 21 and 31 adjacent to the end parts. A gas plug 13 is connected to the right side of the transverse part 22 as facing it, and a test opening 35 is connected to the connected part of the transverse part 22 and the right down pipe 31. A union nut 23 is connected to the lower end of the left down pipe 21, and a union nut 29 is connected to the lower end of the right down pipe 31.
