PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce bus ring-back and voltage overshooting. SOLUTION: When the connector 412 of an extension card 410 is inserted to the extension slot 408 of a system board 402, a switching/separating block 406 is turned OFF until a voltage on the card rises to a nominal value, becomes a low capacitive load without diode leakage and turns a bus part 404 and the conductor line 414 of the card to a separated state. When it becomes higher than a nominal voltage, the block 406 is turned to the ON with a low resistance and connects the bus part 404 to the conductor line 414. The block 406 is provided with a switching element and a logic device for controlling it. The input and output nodes of the switching element are clamped to an optimized voltage of the connected card 410, and reflection and overshooting are reduced. |
