Car solar roof

The solar roof, in a car roof which can be opened, has a transparent cover plate (1) surrounded at least partially by a plastics frame (2). A gap (S) is left between the inner edge (7) of the inner cover plate (3) and the solar cell structure (9), so that the inner edge (7) is out of contact with the solar cell structure (9). The inner edge (7) follows the contour of the solar cell structure (9) at the overlapping zone.
