<p>Using an IC card for signature authenticating system on which registered signature data is recorded, the dissimilarity of check signature data is divided into three ranks defined by a first parameter and a second parameter larger than the first parameter. If the measured dissimilarity is in the rank below the first parameter, the signature is authenticated; if the measured dissimilarity is in the second rank above the first parameter and below the second parameter, re-signature is ordered or authentication is not given after a specified number of re-signatures; and if the measured dissimilarity is in the rank above the second parameter, authentication is not given.</p> |
