Novel double-chain aliphatic derivatives which are useful as remedies for inflammatory diseases. The above compounds involve those represented by general formulae (I) and (II) and pharmaceutically acceptable salts thereof wherein R<1> and R<2> are the same or different and each represents linear or branched C6-30 alkyl, alkenyl or acyl; p is an integer of 0 to 6; and R represents optionally substituted moranoline or glucose. Because of having effects of inhibiting cell adhesion and inhibiting TNF- alpha production, these compounds are useful as drugs.
