<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the manufacturing cost of a swash plate compressor by facilitating the production through its structural simplification, in this compressor which freely varies the delivery in keeping up the tilt angle of a swash plate constant. SOLUTION: A swash plate block 13 integrally made up in keeping up the tilt angle of a swash plate constant is installed in a driving shaft 6 as being slidable on this shaft 6 and integrally rotatable with it. Since working pressure in a crankcase is back pressure for the whole piston 9, the magnitude of this working pressure is automatically or manually controlled. With this control, the back pressure of the piston is varied, and further a top dead center position of the piston 9 is varied by the balance of energizing force of a spring 12 and of a compression reaction of gas in a pump case 20, whereby the volumetric efficiency of a compressor is also varied by a variation in a top clearance 21 and the consequent magnitude of dead volume in the pump case 20, and thus a substantial discharge quantity is steplessly varied. As a variable discharge mechanism is merely comprised of the crank case 5 and its pressure control means, its structure becomes very simplified.</p> |
