PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a composite railroad tie securing bending strength demanded for the railroad tie and high in functionality. SOLUTION: A composite railroad tie 10 is mainly made of synthetic resin of rigid foaming urethane, etc., its cross-section in the cross direction makes a horizontally rectangular shape, and a hollow hole 15 is formed inside. On the assumption that width of this composite railroad tie 10 is B, height of the sleeper H, width of the hollow holeωand height of the hollow hole 15 (h), dimension of each of them is to be within ranges of 0.08<=ω/B<=0.9 and 04<=h/H<=0.5.
