PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical cross connector in which a wavelength channel for wavelength conversion is comparatively freely set. SOLUTION: Branching elements 10a-10c separate an input wavelength multiplex light into optical signals of a single wavelength channel and lead them to respective output ports. First and second optical switches 14a-14c, 16a-16c are provided with first, second third, forth ports and optical switch elements respectively, and lead input optical signals to prescribed output ports. An optical connection 18 couples the third port of the first optical switches 14a-14c with the third port of the second optical switches 16a-16c. Coupling elements 12a-12c couples the input optical signals and lead them to output ports. A wavelength conversion section changes a wavelength channel of the input optical signals and leads the changed signals into prescribed output ports. A wavelength routing section 22 leads the input optical signals to prescribed output ports. An optical signal outputted from a wavelength conversion section 20 is give to the wavelength routing section 22 via the second port the first optical switches 14a-14c and the second port of the second optical switches 16a-16c. |
