摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power factor improving device in a lighting lamp field using fluorescent lamp, mercury lamp, sodium lamp, neon sign and other plasma by eliminating a phase difference of the voltage and current characteristic to maintain the stable brightness and to save the energy, and assembling both of a transformer having the leakage magnetic flux structure and a capacitor type ballast as a ballast of a discharge lamp. SOLUTION: When a power source at 100 V is supplied from an AC input side, the alternating current of a rectifier DA×4 of an upper layer of a capacitor unit and a rectifier DA×4 of a lower layer thereof flows through an upper and a lower diodes per each half cycle, and charge and discharge of charging and discharging capacitors of each unit is repeated for discharge to achieve the final +-. Consequently, high voltage is generated in the output, and the charged current is discharged for lighting to a terminal of a fluorescent tube through Z. These capacitors and a transformer having a reactant impedance and to be used for a ballast for discharge are connected in parallel with each other, and a phase difference of the current different from each other is neutralized to provide the pure resistance component over the whole.
