PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a radio portable terminal and a position information acquisition system through which the user himself can easily acquire position information of his own portable terminal with high security. SOLUTION: A radio portable terminal 1 such as a PHS acquires position information by means of a GPS in call reception automatic reply and sends the position information to a caller. Furthermore, in the position information acquisition system for the radio portable terminal 1, when the radio portable terminal 1 receives a call from a telephone set 4, the radio portable terminal 1 stores an identification number received from a radio base station 2 that covers the position of the radio portable terminal 1 and sends the identification number to the caller telephone set 4. Then the telephone set 4 connects with a position information database via a public network 3 and sends the base station identification to the database. Then the position information database outputs corresponding position information. |
