PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a data processor performing sound processing and graphic processing in time division. SOLUTION: The video control data Dgc and musical sound control data Dsc generated in a CPU 1 are stored temporarily in a 3DG/sound common buffer 4. Further, the texture data Dt and the wave table data Dw are stored in a texture/sound common memory 5. A 3DG/WT sound source common engine 6 executes the graphic processing and the sound processing in time division. In the sound processing, the wave table data Dw instructed by the utterance control data Dh are read out, and pitch conversion, etc., is performed to the data Dw, and the musical sound data Ds are generated. On the other hand, in the graphic processing, the texture data Dt shown by the polygon data Dp are read out from the texture/sound common memory 5, and the video data Dg are generated. Thus, the 3DG/WT sound source common engine 6 is used both as the sound processing and the graphic processing. |
