PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make the subject device thermally and systematically stable, improve EL performance, and extend operation life by containing indolo carbazole represented by a specific formula, and containing a mixture thereof as a charge transport component as required. SOLUTION: At least one of an indolo carbazole compound containing a positive hole transport layer and an electron transport layer, the transport layer being expressed by formulas I, II, III, IV, V, and VI or a mixture thereof is contained. (wherein R and R' are selected from the group consisting of a hydrogen atom, a halogen atom, alkyl, alkoxy, and aryl; (m) and n are preferably a number of 0 to 4; R' and R2 are independently selected from the group consisting of alkyl, aryl, and vinyl; R3 and R4 are independently selected from the group consisting of a hydrogen atom, alkyl, alkoxy, aryl, and a halogen atom, and (e) is preferably a number of 1 to 3). |
