Honeycomb expanded metal packing structures are produced from continuous perforated, drafted (expanded) metal strip. The three dimensional structure is generated by rolling together the perforated, expanded strip taken from two feed rolls on to a common core, after one of the feed rolls has been reversed by rewinding.
