Turning direction method for vehicles

The method involves resetting a switch which operates with a pivoting control element. A direction indicator control (15) in a car is reset while operating on a steering column, swiveling on a rotational axis (17) from its original position to its operating position. Its end is guided along a connecting piece (5) and held in its operating position by a catch (11) projecting over a curve (23) of the connecting piece. The catch is moved to reset the indicator. An Independent claim is included for a turning direction device.
