PURPOSE:To connect two or more indoor units to a heat source apparatus and allow them to individually, selectively perform either cooling or heating operation at the same time by a method wherein changeover valves are provided between first and second connecting pipes of the heat source apparatus so as to allow the first connecting pipes to be changed over to low pressure side and the second connecting pipe to high pressure side, and controls carried out so that the refrigerant in the second connecting pipe is kept in two-phase state and the refrigerant at the outlets of first heat exchangers is maintained at the set supercooling degree. CONSTITUTION:Changeover valves 8, which allows a first connecting pipe 6 to be changed over to low pressure side and a second connecting pipe 7 to high pressure side, are provided between the first and second connecting pipes 6 and 7 of a heat source apparatus A. In the case of heating operation only, the liquid refrigerant passes through first flow control valves 9, which are controlled according to the supercooling degree at the outlets of room side heat exchangers 5, and flows into a second manifold 11 through second branch pipes 7b, 7c and 7d to join together. Then, the refrigerant passes through a fourth flow control valve 17 and its pressure is reduced to a low pressure two-phase state either by the first flow control valves 9 or the fourth flow control valve 17. |
