A tire pressure monitoring method involves using monitors near each wheel to provide AC signals which correspond to the vibration of each tire. The signals are processed using wavelength function processing and are processed at two or more fixed frequencies and at set time intervals. The processing provides results which approach the tire pressures and which can monitor different types of tire. An Independent claim is also included for a device for carrying out the method.
