The air bag container (11) is retained on the steering wheel by a threaded bush (14) engaging a threaded stub (20) on the end of the screw (15). The outer edge of the bush is also threaded to engage a left hand threaded inner face of the through opening (13) in the base of the container. The opening and bush form lock when the container is tightened onto the frame of the steering wheel (10).
