Communication controller for internet router

摘要

An input/output unit (1), which is independent of the reception of a packet, and produces a search request and a destination address of the packet. The input/output unit receives result route data and transmits the packet based on the result route data. A memory (3) stores a route tree table. A route search circuit (2) is provided for accessing the route tree table based on the search request, in order to output route data from end-node data to the input/output unit. A method for determining routes is also claimed.
