The invention refers to a driving mechanism for four steering wheels, used for agricultural utility vehicles such as self-propelled chassis for lawn mowing and soil grinding activities. According to the invention the mechanism comprises a handwheel (3) which drives a gear rack (7) through a pinion (6); in turn, the gear rack drives the steering mechanism (6) of the permanent steering bridge (A) of the motor vehicle, through a connecting rod (10) and a lever (12) hinged on the above-mentioned permanent steering bridge (A), as well as two rods (18 and 19); by means of a switch (E) the rods (18 and 19) mentioned above drive two connecting rods (24 and 25) hinged to a three-arm lever (26) which drives the central lever type steering mechanism (D) of optional steering bridge (B).
