PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a liquid bleach composition suited for cleansing stains. SOLUTION: There is provided a liquid bleach composition containing hydrogen peroxide, a nonionic surfactant, a metal scavenger, and a thickener, having a viscosity of 10-200 mPa.s at 20 deg.C, showing a frictional coefficient (f) of 1-100, wherein f is determined according to the equation: f=(16.μ)/(d.u.p) (wherein u is the velocity (m/sec); d is the diameter (m) of the pipe; p is the density (kg/m<3> ) of the composition; andμis the viscosity (kg/m.sec) of the composition) when 2 ml of the composition is allowed to fall freely through a glass tube made of a hard glass, having an inside diameter of 1 mm and a length of 80 mm, and supported perpendicularly and showing a spread speed of 3-6 cm<2> /sec as determined by applying 5 ml of the composition at one time to a cotton test cloth #2003 stretched tightly over a laboratory dish 15 cm in diameter.
