PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a photocatalyst composition capable of efficiently exhibiting antifouling functions of a photocatalyst, readily preparing a photocatalyst supporting carrier having excellent adhesivity, especially water-resistant cleaning properties and to provide a method for antifouling treatment. SOLUTION: A photocatalyst comprising titanium dioxide photocatalyst fine particles having 0.001-0.3μm primary particle diameters, a dispersion medium and an alkoxyl group-containing titanium compound is produced. The photocatalyst composition is sprayed or applied to a target material for antifouling treatment to attach the photocatalyst fine particles to the target material for antifouling treatment.
