PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform an objective evaluation of a face by a method wherein an image emphasizing treatment is applied to a face image obtained by photographing a face which is a judgement object, and a face image for judgement, which is expressed in a plurality of regions being classified regarding brightness is prepared, and the face is judged by the shapes of the contours of the regions and the states of the boarders between regions of the face image. SOLUTION: When the judgement of a face is performed, first, the face of a judgement subject is photographed by a photographing means 1 from, e.g. the front surface, and the output is input in an image processing means 2, and stored in a memory. Then, an image emphasizing treatment by a threshold value processing based on a threshold value which is set by a threshold value-setting means 3, is applied. The setting of threshold values is performed by using, e.g. the gradation of 256 steps in a general image display system. By such an image treatment, a face image for judgement which is expressed with a plurality of regions being classified regarding brightness, is prepared. Then, the obtained face image for judgement is displayed on a display means 4, and the judgements for a beauty degree and an aging degree of the face are performed while watching the shapes of the contours of the regions and the states of the borders between regions. |
