The invention concerns a device for guiding and locating a piece (18) moveable on a game board, in particular a player in a ball game, said board comprising a first checker board divisional marking (26) defining squares (28, 30) which determine two axial directions, longitudinal and transversal as well as two diagonal directions. The invention is characterised in that each square comprises a second divisional marking (32) defining sub-squares (34) determining complementary directions. The invention also concerns the moveable piece (18) and the resulting game board.
