Blind rivet setting apparatus

The blind rivet setting apparatus has rows of balls to act on the rivet shaft through a cone unit for a durable grip without distortion. The ball system, to set blind rivets (1), has a nose piece (11) to receive and align the rivet shaft (3), so that its axis is centered on the axis of a cone unit (22). The cone unit guides balls (27) to give a grip, with a durable gripping action without distorting the rivet shaft when the cone unit is moved from the rivet body (2). The cone unit is next to the nose piece, with an opening for the rivet shaft to pass through. A number of balls, in one or more rows of at least three balls, are positioned to make contact with the cone unit and the rivet shaft, with spring tension on the balls against the rivet body. A mechanism moves the balls away.
