In dyeing wool by the cold dwell process, wool with a felt-free finish is padded in a dye bath containing 1:1 metal complex dye, reactive dye, unmetallized anionic dye or mixtures of these in the absence of a fiber-swelling agent, then squeezed, left in the wet state and rinsed.
