The crankcase has at least one power transmission element (5), connected to a cylinder head screw (2) or bolt, and located in a main bearing web (4) within the crankcase. The screw force is transmitted by the transmission element into the bearing web, or into screws (6), which connect crankcase and main bearing covers. The power transmission element is a round, oval, or semi- circular disc located in the main bearing web.
