PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a connection surface seal structure of a differential wherein by using a liquid-state gasket as a flange seal, as compared with using a molded gasket, a cost is reduced without aged settling, in addition, prevention of protrusion of a seal agent, shortening of its hardening time, and improvement of a seal property are concurrently attained. SOLUTION: In a connection surface seal structure for a differential applying a silicon seal agent S to one flange surface, interposing the silicon seal agent S between both the flange surfaces by tightening a bolt, and using this hardened liquid-state gasket as a flange seal, a chamfer part 1c, 2c in a position of a flange surface 1a, 2a of a differential housing 1, 2 crossing with a side bearing housing mounting hole 1b, 2b is enlarged, a first seal agent accumulating part 11 is formed, and a second seal agent accumulating part 12 is formed, which communicates with the outside air by a step differenced opening groove 10b provided in a peripheral position of a flange surface 10a of a side bearing housing 10. |
