<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the trailing torque of a brake device on by-wire system when the brake is out of application. SOLUTION: A brake device embodied on by-wire system is equipped with a car stop holding will sensing means for the driver's will and a braking force restricting means to preclude generation of a braking force exceeding a level necessary for car stop when such a will of driver is sensed. The stopped condition of the car is sensed by signals given from wheel speed sensor 3, and the driver's will of retaining the stopped condition is sensed from whether the sensing signal of a stamping force sensor 2 has exceeded a certain threshold, and if there is such a will, the current fed to a motor 12 is controlled and a braking force corresponding to the threshold is held.</p> |
