PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a developing device capable of improving the sealing quality and assembling quality of a sealing member for preventing developer from flowing out in the longitudinal direction of a developing roller. SOLUTION: This device is provided with at least the developing roller (developer carrier) 102, and a developing blade (developer control member) 103 for controlling the quantity of toner (developer) to be supplied to the developing roller 102. The sealing member 105 being toner leakage preventing means is attached to each end part of the developing roller 102 and arranged so that the member 105 is in close contact with the surface of the developing roller 102, and also, an auxiliary sealing member 107 is attached to the outside of the sealing member 105 so that the member 107 is in close contact with the member 105 from the side direction. By having such a constitution, the outflow of the toner passing through a gap between the developing roller 102 and the sealing member 105 is prevented by the auxiliary sealing member 107, then, the sealing quality of the sealing member 105 is enhanced, and also, the attachment precision of the auxiliary sealing member 107 is relaxed and the assembling quality of the sealing member 105 is enhanced. |
