PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a wax from attaching to a production apparatus and improve the production efficiency in a production process of a granular antifoaming agent compsn. or a high bulk density granular detergent compsn. by mixing a wax antifoaming agent having a specified average particle size, a carrier substance, and an org. binder substance in the apparatus at the m.p. of the antifoaming agent or higher. SOLUTION: 5-40 wt.% wax antifoaming agent (e.g. paraffin wax having an average particle size of 15 mm or lower and an m.p. of 25-135 deg.C), 2-50 wt.% carrier substance comprising oil-absorbing particles (e.g. potassium sulfate), the wt. ratio of the carrier substance to the antifoaming agent being 2-10, and 10-80 wt.% water-soluble org. binder (e.g. polyethylene glycol having an m.p. of 25-100 deg.C and average mol.wt. of 400-30,000) are mixed at the m.p. of the antifoaming agent or higher with a kneader, then extruded with an extruder, pelletized, and crushed to five a granular antifoaming agent compsn. having an average particle size of 100-2,000μm. A high-bulk-density granular detergent compsn. having a bulk density of 0.5 g/ml or higher and a particle size of 300-3,000μm is prepd. by mixing 5-40 wt.% surfactant, 0.1-5 wt.% wax antifoaming agent, and other detergent ingredients.
