PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance bulk density of a mixed layer part, and to improve battery capacity by partially exposing a metallic foil current collector through removal of an electrode mixed layer of an electrode plate with the use of a rotating cutting tool. SOLUTION: A metallic foil current collection is partially exposed by removing an electrode mixed layer to install a lead to electrically connect an electrode plate and an external load on the electrode plate and/or to avoid stress concentration on a bending part, when the electrode plate is formed as a bending structure. At this time, a rotating cutting tool which is capable of cutting not only in the thickness direction of the electrode mixed layer but also in the surface direction is used to the electrode plate, but among them, an end mill and a shaft-possessing grinding wheel are suitably used. According to this, the metallic foil current collector is not damaged, the electrode mixed layer is chipped off, nor processing of a solvent is required. Moreover, residue processing of a separated electrode mixed layer can be facilitated. |
