PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce power consumption. SOLUTION: Concerning an inverse spectrum spreading circuit 20A for inversely spreading the spectrum of a spread spectrum signal S0, based on the outputs of PN sequence generating circuits 211 and 212 for generating PN sequences synchronously with a clock CLK, this circuit has a clock gate circuit 232 for stopping the supply of a clock CLKG to the PN sequence generating circuit 212 while holding a value corresponding to the phase of the PN sequence from the PN sequence generating circuit 211 as a restart value corresponding to a stop request RQE2 and for restarting the supply of the clock CLKG to the PN sequence generating circuit 212 after waiting the coincidence of the value corresponding to the phase of the PN sequence from the PN sequence generating circuit 211 with the restart value corresponding to a restart request RQS2. At the other clock gate circuit, the supply of the clock to the PN sequence generating circuit is temporarily stopped corresponding to the stop request while (N-1) pieces of clocks are counted. |
