PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a radio circuit with which average power consumption during intermittent reception can be reduced. SOLUTION: A frequency synthesizer 6 is provided with a time constant switching means 9 for switching the time constant of a loop filter 4, and a transmission/reception mode discriminating signal for discriminating whether it is a transmission mode or reception mode is inputted to the time constant switching means 9. In the reception mode, lock-up time is shortened by reducing the time constant of the loop filter 4 for the frequency synthesizer 6 and in the transmission mode, the C/N characteristics of transmission signals are improved by enlarging the time constant of the loop filter 4 for the frequency synthesizer 6. The average power consumption during intermittent reception can be reduced without degrading the C/N characteristics of transmission signals. |
