PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a developing device of a sleeve less type capable of obtaining an image with excellent quality by precisely performing toner density control in a simple method, without adopting the complicated toner density controlling device. SOLUTION: This device is constituted of a developing roller 1 consisting of the magnetic roller with plural magnetic poles formed on a surface, rotating while carrying the two component developer 10 incorporating the toner and magnetic particles on the surface and transporting the developer 10 up to a developing area opposite to a latent image carrier, the developer agitating chamber 8 placed on the upstream side part of the developing area in the rotary direction of the developing roller 1 and provided with an agitator 2 agitating the developer 10 and the toner 11, the toner containing part 4 for containing the toner and the toner replenishing port 5 for replenishing the toner 11 from the toner containing part 4 to the toner agitating chamber 8. In such a case, by filling the developer 10 in the developer agitating chamber 8 up to the position between the uppermost part of a rotary locus 3 of the agitator 2 and the rotary center, and agitating-transporting the developer 10 and the toner 11 replenished from the toner containing part 4 by the agitator 2, the developer 10 is made to become into collision with the inside wall of the developer agitating chamber 8 and the toner bunker 12 is formed in the vicinity of the collision part. |
