The inner under support comprises a box-shaped casing (20) provided with wheels on which the table top (12) is located with its under outer support (18) and is lowerable into an open side to a storage position inside the box-shaped casing. In order to develop the item of furniture into a module system, the box-shaped casing has a quadratic horizontal cross-section and forms a base for one or more stacked structural units (30,50,60) which have a quadratic horizontal cross-section coinciding with that of the box-shaped casing in order to be orientated in the horizontal plane in at least three reciprocal right-angled directions in relation to the box-shaped casing. |
